Vanatta taps Mariano

After being moved up to the main card, Lando Vanatta takes out Marcos Mariano in the first round by submission. Mariano had no answer to Lando's top game. After suffering Lando's ground and pound for the majority of the first round and showing little experience to get back to his feet, Mariano had no choice but to tap once Vanatta locked in a mounted Kimura. Lando came into this fight with a string of 4 unsuccessful fights (2 losses and 2 draws). Despite his record and success, Vanatta was moved to the main card. Presumably because of Vanatta's exciting fight style and refusal to turn down any fight.s This is a big victory for him!
